The village of Newtonmore is located in the upper Spey Valley within the Cairngorm National Park in Inverness-shire, in the Highland Region of Scotland.
We're just a few miles south of Aviemore and Kingussie, about an hour’s drive from Inverness Airport, and not much more than two hours drive from Edinburgh or Glasgow.

Poised between village and the River Spey, Newtonmore golf course provides visitors and local members with opportunities to enjoy some of the best golf and mountain scenery that the Scottish Highlands can offer.
Established in 1893, this 18 hole 6031 yard (par 70) course has inspired generations of golfers and is playable with comfort and pleasure by average and good golfers alike. Please see our golf course guide.
For more than 125 years, Newtonmore Golf Club has welcomed many a golfer to enjoy this most attractive Scottish Highlands golf course. Visitors, groups and golf societies from all over Scotland, the UK, Europe and the USA return time and again to play golf on this outstanding Spey Valley golf course.
New golf club members are very welcome. Our golf club membership fees are most reasonable and we invite applications for membership from experienced golfers, golf beginners, and non-golfers alike. Women golfers, and new senior and junior members are particularly welcome to join.
The club enjoys a wide diversity of golf membership in age, gender and golfing skills and every member has access to a calendar of golfing and social events. We’re a warm, friendly and welcoming club and, for the less competitively-minded, there are plenty of opportunities for meeting old friends, making new friends, and socialising in the clubhouse.
The clubhouse provides stunning views and excellent bar and catering facilities.Golf visitors, groups and golf societies and their partners and families are all most welcome to share in their use. The clubhouse is conveniently located within a short walk of a range of good quality guest houses, B&Bs and self-catering which make ideal accommodation for Speyside golf breaks or golf holidays, for Highlands golf tour, or for group golf or society golf in this thriving Spey Valley golf resort.
Our Spey Valley golf course is mostly easy-walking parkland, in tip-top condition and laid out on the natural contours of the flood plain of the River Spey. The course is home to a rich variety of flora and fauna, and in winter provides grazing for local sheep.
For many experienced golfers, competitions are the life-blood of golf and our club has active programs of both club and open golf competitions.
Entry fees for our open and club competitions are also very reasonable for the excellent sport and entertainment provided. In August we hold our ever-popular open Golf Week.
